Your talent is worth more than you think
Canada's average household debt now exceeds $60,000 per person — and that's before counting government debt. Families are stretched. Budgets are breaking. And yet, in every neighbourhood across this country, there are people with exactly the skills someone else desperately needs.
When we volunteer our skills, barter our talents, and show up for each other, we don't just build community — we lighten a very real financial load. Every free service listed here is a household that spends a little less, breathes a little easier, and feels a little less alone.
Everyone has something of value to give — even when they don't know it yet. This project experiment is designed to see what happens when an entire village decides to show up?
A hair stylist
Donating 20 makeovers to neighbours in need
Lists their salon name, neighbourhood, and how to book one of the 20 free spots. Twenty people walk away feeling seen — and save $60–$120 each.
A home baker
Baking 100 loaves of free bread for the community
Posts their pickup location, bake days, and any dietary options. A hundred families get fresh bread on the table — no grocery run, no cost.
A group of cleaners
Helping 10 seniors clean their living rooms
Lists their availability, the borough they serve, and how seniors can request a visit. Ten households get a clean, safe home — and ten people feel cared for.

Who is this for?
This is for the people who are often unseen — homemakers, people with disabilities, retirees, newcomers, anyone with a skill or something to offer. You don't need a business. You just need a neighbour who needs what you have.
